Ruth Obee is an author, feature writer, and award-winning poet who has served abroad with her husband, a diplomat, in India, Nepal, Pakistan, Tanzania, and South Africa.  In between overseas postings, she lived in Washington, D.C.  She is a former teacher and editor of the monthly publication of the Association of American Foreign Service Women.  In 1995, she returned to Colorado Springs to rediscover her own Western American roots.  She is currently working on an in-depth history of the beautiful Red Rock Canyon Open Space in Colorado Springs.
