Ruth Obee is a feature writer and poet who has served abroad with her husband, a diplomat, in India, Nepal, Pakistan, Tanzania, and South Africa.  In between overseas postings, she lived in Washington, D.C.  She is a former teacher and editor of the monthly publication of the Association of American Foreign Service Women.  In 1995, she returned to Colorado Springs to rediscover her own Western American roots.
